ATLANTIDA was present at Business2Sea 2021, in Vigo, Spain, conducting a workshop with the intent to promote the project and its results to external audiences. Researchers from U.Porto, CIIMAR and UMinho were there to present the 5 research lines of the project.

The 1st Annual Meeting of the ATLANTIDA project happened yesterday at CIIMAR. It was an afternoon full of work meetings, with a total of 5 parallel sessions and a plenary session, and with around 100 people from CIIMAR, U.Porto, UMinho and UTAD.

Our investigators successfully closed the first monitoring campaign of the marine waters of the North, which started in June. Above all expectations, they carried out 32 sampling stations and spotted 41 groups of dolphins during the ATLANTIDA northern marine water monitoring program, which took place over all summer, between Espinho and Caminha.

At the last 15th of October, several researchers and managers of the ATLANTIDA project were reunited, via Zoom, to discuss the works carried out on behalf of the Research Line 5 – Biotechnological valorization of marine biomass.

Sandra Pereira, PhD student at U.Porto, was awarded 1st Prize for Best Oral Communication and Winning Poster with her ATLANTIDA work on Cyanobacterial Bioactive Nucleosides with Antifouling Properties!

Today, 28th of September, several researchers and managers of the ATLANTIDA project were reunited, via Zoom, to discuss the works carried out on behalf of the Research Line 4 – Marine biobanks as tools for marine biotechnology.
